Cliffe has posted on the Steampowered.com forums about the contents of today's release. There are quite a few changes tonight, so restart your Steam client to download the updates. [ cliffe's post (120 more words) ] An update for CS:CZ and Counter-Strike has just been released. Steam will update itself automatically when you restart. Here is a list of the changes: COUNTER-STRIKE: CONDITION ZERO: ? Added updated player models under CS COUNTER-STRIKE: ? Added crosshair customization (color, size, opacity) ? Corpses fade out with cl_corpse_stay ? Improved player turning right hitbox behavior ? Improved brass ejection behavior ? hud_draw 0 doesn't remove blackout ? Scope blackout drawn in software mode ? Flashlight sound no longer masks weapon firing sounds ? Improved text behavior in top-right corner of observer mode ? Round timer doesn't re-appear until the round restarts when the bomb is defused or explodes ? Improved hitbox behavior After that there is a STEAM update: An update to the Steam client and HLDS update tool has just been released. Steam will update itself automatically when you restart. Here is a list of the changes: STEAM CLIENT CHANGES / ADDITIONS: ? Steam will now generate a recipt when you purchase a product, instead of sending it via e-mail ? Removed email verification ? All Steam error messages are now localized ? Improved offline behavior if no SteamUI.dll or Steam.dll present ? Improved content server responsiveness ? Disabled background preloaders when any game is running ? Preloader checks to see if an item will fit in the cache (improves going offline) ? L3G0L@S Posted June 18, 2004 Author Report Share Posted June 18, 2004 (edited) Hey there are two patches one for steam and one for CS 1.6.I have both games CS 1.6 and CS:CZ and i've downloaded them from this site.In the new patch for CS 1.6 it says you can change the Crosshair color or to make it larger or smaller if you want just like the new patch that was for Condition zero (v14). Besides, if people install the upgrade they still will be able to play with it on servers with earlier versions. So let's stay tuned for Valve's new upgrades...
